Clause 01

Who we are

XOOM ("we", "us", "the Platform") is a technology platform operated in Karachi, Pakistan. We connect riders ("Passengers") with independent vehicle operators ("Captains"). We are a marketplace — not a transport company, taxi operator, or employer.

Clause 04

KYC verification for Captains

We verify each Captain's CNIC, driving licence, and vehicle registration in good faith. Verification is not a guarantee of conduct. We cannot predict or prevent unlawful acts by an individual Captain. Passengers understand that KYC is a screening tool, not an insurance policy.

Clause 05

Clause 06

Platform fees

XOOM may charge Captains a service fee per completed ride. The fee structure is shown in the Captain app and may change with 7 days' notice. Passengers do not pay a platform fee directly.

Clause 07

Cancellations & no-shows

Reliability scores are visible internally and influence matching. Persistent low scores lead to account suspension.

Clause 08

Your conduct

You agree not to:

Violations result in suspension or permanent ban. Serious violations will be reported to law enforcement.

Clause 09

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion — with or without notice — if we have reasonable grounds to believe you have violated these Terms, endangered another user, or engaged in fraudulent activity. You may appeal via Contact XOOM in the app.

Clause 10

Liability limits

To the fullest extent allowed under Pakistani law:

NoteThe PKR 5,000 figure is a starting position and should be reviewed with a Pakistani commercial lawyer before any formal contractual adoption.
Clause 11

Dispute resolution

  1. Step 1 — Support. Open a Contact XOOM chat. Most issues resolve here.
  2. Step 2 — Formal complaint. Email support with the ride code and a written description.
  3. Step 3 — Arbitration. Disputes not resolved within 30 days of a formal complaint are referred to arbitration in Karachi under the Arbitration Act 1940 (or its successor), before a single arbitrator.
  4. Step 4 — Courts. Matters arbitration cannot cover are filed in the courts of Karachi, which you agree are the exclusive venue.
